This foot switch is ideal for use as a sustain pedal on any E-mu keyboard. Unlike other pedals that tend to never stay put, this one has a rubber "gripper" bottom that keeps it in place. Some keyboards need a "normally open" switch pedal, others need a "normally closed" switch - which is why a Roland pedal works backwards on an Ensoniq keyboard, for instance. This new pedal has both! Just slide the switch on the back to whichever setting your keyboard needs. Solid metal construction.
