Ensoniq ASR-10, EPS, and EPS-16 Plus
SCSI Kits
NOTE: The EPS will not recognize a CD-ROM drive or a Zip drive; you must use an older Mac-style
fixed hard drive.
Adding a SCSI interface allows you to connect your sampler to a
hard drive, removable cartridge drive (such as a Zip drive), or CD-ROM drive, for nearly
instantaneous loading of sounds and for mind-boggling storage capacity. An improvement on
the original Ensoniq SCSI interface, our interface uses less power (and is thus easier on the
keyboard's already-taxed power supply), and it allows the EPS-16 Plus to be used with an
Iomega Zip drive. The SCSI kit
includes complete installation instructions; installation is not difficult, though we do
recommend taking your keyboard to a service center if you are not comfortable with the
procedure. The EPS SCSI kit requires that you use O.S. version 2.49
in your sampler. Also, the SCSI kits for both the EPS and the EPS-16 Plus mount inside a
memory expander cartridge, so you must have this expander in order
to install the SCSI kit. ASR-10 SCSI kits are unfortunately no longer available.
