Syntaur Productions carries an extensive stock of Ensoniq repair parts. Most parts we sell are used (all electronic parts have been tested), though some parts are new. We also carry most Service Manuals, which are of tremendous help in diagnosing problems.

Disk Drives
The Ensoniq keyboards use very specific drives configured in a very specific way. You cannot simply replace the drive with one from a computer. (Here's a hint: Drive problems often arise from dust collecting inside the drive itself. Try pushing open the flap where disks are inserted and blow compressed air into the drive to dislodge the dust. You can blow with your mouth even - just make sure you don't spit into there!)

Replacement Keys & Springs
These plastic keys will replace broken ones on your keyboard. Most of these replacement keys are used, but in fine condition; some are new. There are several different types of keys used on the Ensoniq keyboards, so you will need to make sure you order the correct style (click on the link for your keyboard below). With the exception of the Top C note on the 61-note keyboards, all keys from octave to octave are identical, and all black keys within a given style are identical. In other words, a B note in the lowest octave uses the same key as a B note in any other octave. But the highest C note is different from the other C notes (see illustration below).

If you do not know the note names, on the 61-note keyboard shown below (ASR-10, ESQ-1, VFX, TS-10, etc.), the white keys from the bottom (left side) up are: C, D, E, F, G, A, B, and then the sequence repeats. On the 76-note keyboards (E-Prime, KS-32, KT-76, MR-76, SQ-2, TS-12), the bottom note is an E and the top note is a G. The 88-note keyboards (ASR-88, KT-88) begin with an A on bottom, and a C on top.
