Sequencer Expanders
This is the 20,000 note sequencer expander that Ensoniq made for the ESQ-1 (it will not work in the ESQ-M or the SQ-80). It is a cartridge that plugs into the back panel of the keyboard. Used.

Syntaur Soundsets
Each of these sets of 40 sounds was programmed by Sam Mims; they are some of the best sounds available for the ESQ and SQ-80 keyboards. Included with each set is full documentation with performance notes and tips. Sounds are available on SQ-80 disk, IBM or Mac-format sysex disk (includes loading software), and on ROM cartridge (except Soundsets 3 and 4).

Soundset 1 - A set of 40 must-have sounds for the pop music scene, covering strings, brass, orchestral instruments, pianos, bells, and even an organ with a built-in controllable Leslie effect.

Soundset 2 - This unique set of patches brings to the ESQ and SQ-80 the lush, ambient sounds normally associated with the popular D-50 and M1 keyboards. Many patches incorporate realistic reverb effects.

Soundset 3 - These programs are only for the ESQ-1 using operating system 3.5. By manipulating the operating system, over 250 "hidden waveforms" were found in the ESQ-1, the best of which were used to make up this collection of lush sounds which goes even beyond Soundset 2. This set is not available for the ESQ-M or SQ-80, and it will not work correctly with ESQ-1 operating systems before 3.5.

Soundset 4 - These programs are only for the SQ-80, and take advantage of the waveforms unique to this keyboard. In addition, some programs use "hidden waveforms" similar to Soundset 3. Available on SQ-80 disk only.

Ensoniq ESQ Master Disk
This disk is a compilation of Ensoniq's complete sound library for the ESQ-1 (these sounds will also work in the ESQ-m and SQ-80). There are 880 sounds altogether, including synths, keyboards, basses, bells, pads, and much more. Available on SQ-80 disk, or on PC-format disk (you must have a PC computer with a MIDI interface to load these sounds into your keyboard; loading software is included on the disk).

Ensoniq SQ-80 Library
This collection is Ensoniq's original sound library for the SQ-80. The sets are available separately, or with all 160 sounds together on the SQ-80 Master Disk. These patches utilize the waveforms specific to the SQ-80, and are only available on SQ-80 disk. There are 40 sounds per set. These sounds will not work on an ESQ-1 or ESQ-M.

Operating System EPROMs
These EPROM chips will update the firmware in your keyboard to the latest version. The two EPROMs are user installable, and come with complete instructions. The pricing below requires the trade-in of your old chips; a $10.00 chip charge is added to all EPROM orders, and this fee will be refunded upon return of the old chips. We do not sell the chips for the ESQ-m; the latest firmware version for it is 1.20.

To determine the version in your ESQ-1 or SQ-80, press the Record button, and while holding it down, press the Master button. The bottom line of the display will say "SOFTWARE VERSION x.xx". Note that ESQ-1's with software earlier than version 2.30 will install BRASS1 in all 40 internal sound locations after the keyboard is reinitialized; this alone is an excellent reason to upgrade the firmware. Reinitializing with the latest firmware reintalls the 40 factory internal programs.
