Products for
Kurzweil
(Sounds - Memory - Pedals)

NOTE: In addition to the sound disks below, any of the Ensoniq ASR-format sample disks will work in the K2000 and K2500. The only stipulation is that the Kurzweil keyboards are limited in the amount that they will transpose samples upward, and this could lead to some "holes" in the keyboard mapping. In other words, say an Ensoniq ASR sampled instrument uses a single sample taken at Middle C and transposed across the entire keyboard range. When loaded into the K2000, this sample will only be transposed upward an octave, and the notes higher than this will not play. This will not be an issue for most multi-sampled instruments.

Syntaur KZ Sets: Platinum-quality sample disks for the K2000, K2500, and K2600!
These pristine sounds were meticulously sampled and programmed by Syntaur's top sound designers. These instruments take full advantage of the mod wheel, controller, key pressure, and foot pedal for the maximum in expressive playing. Each three-disk set contains both samples and multiple programs, and is accompanied by notes on the sampled instruments and the sound programming.

Memory Expanders: Turbocharge your sampler with these memory expanders!
These SIMMs will boost your Kurzweil sampler's RAM memory, allowing you to load larger sample banks.

The K2000 uses hard-to-find 30-pin SIMMs, and there are four slots for installing these (they must be installed in matching pairs).

The K2500 had different revisions of the main board; some K2500s require 30-pin SIMMs, others require 72-pin SIMMs. To determine which version you have, look at the serial number - if the seventh digit is a "Z" you will need 72-pin memory, and if the seventh digit is a "0" you will need 30-pin memory. The 30-pin boards have eight SIMM slots, so you could install four of the memory kits listed below for a total of 32 Meg of memory. The 72-pin boards have two SIMM slots, so you could install two of the memory kits listed below for up to 64 Meg of memory.

The K2600 uses 72-pin SIMMs. It has two SIMM slots, so you could install two of the memory kits listed below for a total of 64 Meg of memory.

30-pin Memory Expander Kit, 8 Meg (Part #KZ8M) Buy $59.95
This kit contains two 30-pin 4-Meg SIMMs that will work in all of the K2000 samplers, and in the early revisions of the K2500 samplers (see above).
72-pin Memory Expander Kit, 16-Meg (Part #KZ16M) Buy $49.95
This kit contains one 72-pin 16-Meg SIMM that will work in later revisions of the K2500 (see above) and in all K2600 samplers.
72-pin Memory Expander Kit, 32-Meg (Part #KZ32M) Buy $69.95
This kit contains one 72-pin 32-Meg SIMM that will work in later revisions of the K2500 (see above) and in all K2600 samplers.

Pedals

Dual-Polarity Foot Pedal
Dual-Polarity Foot Pedal (Part #FSC604) Buy $29.95
This foot switch is ideal for use as a sustain pedal on any Kurzweil keyboard. Unlike other pedals that tend to never stay put, this one has a rubber "gripper" bottom that keeps it in place. Some keyboards need a "normally open" switch pedal, others need a "normally closed" switch - which is why a Roland pedal works backwards on an Ensoniq keyboard, for instance. This new pedal has both! Just slide the switch on the back to whichever setting your keyboard needs. Solid metal construction.
