Acetone Rhythm Ace FR-1

The Acetone Rhythm Ace FR-1 is essentially the first Roland preset drum machine. Utilizing a new technology, the transistor, the prototype FR-1 debuted at the 1964 NAMM Show,and from then on, the music industry was never the same. Although there are limited variations of rhythms available from the front panel, pressing down multiple buttons will create interesting new patterns.

This unit has been gone over by an experienced technician and has had all of the electrolytic capacitors replaced. Unit is fully functional, and cosmetic wear is reflected in price (and in the photos).
